Taster Sessions to include activities that can be run ‘back at hut’
Handouts emailed the event
Each hour long session will be run 3 times
Participants will be able to pick 6 sessions during the day.
Subject to change but this is what is planned to provide
Morning Sessions
- Fire lighting
- Pitching different types of tents
- Knots and tarp shelters
- Camp/Hike First Aid and Hygiene – practical applications
- Training validations and display of resources
Afternoon sessions
- Knife and saw skills
- Games – bring a game to share (we shall have some to show e.g.pizza box, battleships and hungry hippos)
- Pioneering – lashings, camp gadgets
- Introduction to map and compass
- Training validations and a display of resources
