SWANSEA brothers Ian and Graham Rees-Evans have been selected as part of a special team to represent the country at the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden next year.
Ian, aged 18, and Graham, aged 22, were called up to the International Service Team, a group of adult volunteers who make the event possible for young Scouts under the motto “Contribute, Develop, Inspire”.
The brothers are two of 500 volunteers from the UK, and will be part of a 6,000-strong team coming from all across the globe.
Ian, who is in this first year at Cardiff University studying geography, joined Scouts when he was six.
The brothers were selected during an event in Bristol in which they had to perform a variety of activities to prove why they should be given the opportunity.
The 22nd World Scout Jamboree Sweden 2011 will be held next year from July 27 to August 7.
